FAQ
Common questions
What happens when I reach my limit?
Kayts has two usage windows: 24 hours and 7 days, each counted from your first message. Every model has a daily allowance, and the models with a limit share the weekly one; stronger models use it up faster. When an allowance runs out, the chat switches to Kayts Mihr, so you can keep going. If you regularly need more, a higher plan gives you much more room.
Where do the papers come from?
From OpenAlex, an open catalog of over 250 million scholarly works. Kayts finds a paper by search, DOI or ResearchGate link and fetches its full text when it's open access. Some publishers block downloads: then it works from the abstract and gives you links to the PDF.
What does Kayts remember about me?
Your chats are saved on every plan, including Free, so you can always come back to them. Memory is something else: on the Pro and Max plans, Kayts can also remember facts you share, like your job or how you like answers written, and you can see and delete them in Settings.
Are my conversations used to train the model?
Not yet: fine-tuning on conversations starts in a later stage of development, and then only while “Help improve Kayts” is on. It's on by default for adults: you can turn it off when you sign up or anytime in Settings. For users under 18 it stays off unless they turn it on.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Which languages does it speak?
Kayts understands many languages and answers in the one you write in: English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and more. It's strongest in English and other widely spoken languages.
