Three changes reached Kayts on 21 October 2026: new ways to sign in, plans you can pay for a year at once, and fourteen free days of Plus until the end of the year. Here is what each one means for you.
Sign in the way you like
Until now, email sign-in meant a link: you had to open it on the device where you wanted to use Kayts. Now there are three ways with your email address, next to Google and ORCID iD:
- A code. The sign-in email carries a link and an 8-digit code. Type the code on the page, so you can read your mail on your phone and sign in on your computer.
- A password. Sign in with your email and a password. "Forgot your password?" sends a link and a code to choose a new one.
- An account with a password. A new account with a password confirms the email address first, with a link or a code.
Passwords need at least 12 characters, with a lowercase and an uppercase letter, a digit and a symbol, and a password that has appeared in a data leak elsewhere is refused.
Monthly or a year at once
Every paid plan can now be paid monthly or for a year at once. A year costs twelve months; you choose on the pricing page or in Settings → Billing in the chat, and you can move between the two later.
- Plus: $5.99 a month or $71.88 a year.
- Pro: $12.99 a month or $155.88 a year.
- Max: $19.99 a month or $239.88 a year.
Prices are in US dollars and include VAT. Free stays free, with Kayts Mihr and a daily taste of Kayts Anahit.
Fourteen days of Plus, free
Until 31 December 2026, a Plus plan bought by an account that has never had a paid plan starts with 14 days free. You give your payment details when you buy it; if you cancel during those days, you pay nothing. Seven days before they end, you get a reminder by email. Each account gets the free days once.
